Autism, seen through the drawings and voices of the autistic children and adults who helped make this animated short. Director Tim Webb built the film's visual style directly from artwork produced by his collaborators, so the images on screen come from the people the film is about rather than from an outside illustrator's idea of what autism looks like. The soundtrack works the same way: rather than narration explaining autism from the outside, it carries the words of autistic people describing their own experiences, in their own phrasing. There is no plot in the conventional sense and no expert commentary; the film's structure is closer to a gallery of first-person testimony set to moving pictures. The result stays close to lived detail rather than diagnosis or theory, and its short runtime is built around a single idea: let the people usually described by others do the describing.
