One high school in Southern California, filmed in June 2011, becomes the entire case study for this look at how the American education system actually runs day to day. A student filmmaker sits down with seniors about to graduate, underclassmen, teachers, and other faculty, asking each of them the same basic questions: what works, what should change, and what they want out of school once they leave it. The interviews were shot over a few days but the project stalled for two years before the filmmaker returned to finish editing, and that gap shows in a small way, since some of the students on screen have already moved on and some of the staff may no longer be at the school.
