German children under the Third Reich move through a fixed pipeline of indoctrination: the Jungvolk at age ten, the Hitler Youth at fourteen, then full absorption at eighteen into the Nazi Party, the Wehrmacht, the SA, or the SS. This film traces that progression stage by stage, showing how uniforms, oaths, songs, and organized activity replaced ordinary childhood with structured loyalty to the regime. Rather than treating Nazi youth as passive victims or willing fanatics alone, it lays out the mechanics of the system that produced both outcomes at once, a slow substitution of family and independent thought with party allegiance. The film follows that trajectory to its end point, young men and women delivered directly into the military and paramilitary branches that carried out the regime's violence. Its focus stays on process rather than personality: the age thresholds, the institutions waiting at each one, and the near-total absence of exit routes once a child entered the Jungvolk. The result is less a portrait of individuals than a diagram of how a state manufactures conformity from childhood onward.
