The US-Iran standoff over nuclear weapons, sanctions, and the threat of war is the subject here, built as a rebuttal to what the filmmakers see as media failures that preceded the Iraq invasion. The film challenges the claim that Iran's leadership vowed to 'wipe Israel off the map,' tracing that phrase back through translation disputes and setting it against a longer history of US and Israeli actions toward Iran. Antonia Juhasz and Larry Everest appear alongside Iranian-American activists, each given space for a brief introduction before their commentary, and the film does not pretend they agree on everything beyond one point: that an attack on Iran would be unjustified. Sections cover the internal push for democratic reform inside Iran and the likely fallout of a US or Israeli strike, including options short of war. Director Aaron Newman, a member of San Francisco's Scary Cow film co-op and the group Hands Off Iran, frames the film explicitly as an argument meant to be screened and discussed rather than watched passively.
