Inside a women's penal colony, a small number of incarcerated mothers are raising their children behind the same walls that hold them. Visitation is not a weekend event here: mothers see their kids for two set windows each day, one in the morning and one in the evening, then the children are returned to a separate wing. A few women qualify for a different arrangement entirely, living full-time with their children in a kindergarten built inside the prison, an arrangement granted only under strict behavioral conditions and treated as a privilege worth fighting for. The film stays close to the daily mechanics of this system rather than the crimes that put these women there, following mothers through bedtime routines, brief reunions, and the paperwork and rule-following required to keep their children close. It does not editorialize about guilt or innocence; it simply shows what child-rearing looks like when it has to fit inside a penal colony's schedule, and what these women are willing to do to hold onto two hours a day.
