Forsvarets Spesialkommando is Norway's special forces unit, the armed forces' competence centre for commando, airborne, and counter-terrorist operations. Its base sits at Rena leir, about 30 kilometers north of Elverum in southeastern Norway. Current and former members speak on camera about how recruits are selected and trained, and about what the unit actually does once deployed, from hostage and counter-terror scenarios to airborne insertion and commando raids. The film covers the unit's history and some of its missions, including work tied to international peacekeeping deployments, and lets soldiers describe the physical and mental demands of the job in their own words rather than through narration alone.
