In 2011, the Arab Spring swept across the Middle East, sparking a wave of popular uprisings against authoritarian regimes. In Libya, the people rose up against the brutal rule of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, sparking a civil war that would last for months and leave thousands dead or injured.

“Witness: Holding the Line – Libya” is a powerful and immersive documentary that takes us to the frontline of the conflict, where a group of Libyan rebel fighters are holding the line against Gaddafi’s forces. Through the eyes of a group of fighters in Misrata, the film shows the human face of war and the extraordinary courage of ordinary men in the face of adversity.
