Two urban explorers split up for this episode of Epic Exploring. Cody wades through hurricane-wrecked Six Flags New Orleans, where rusted roller coasters sit half-submerged in swamp water and alligators and other wildlife have moved into the flooded arcades since Katrina shut the park down. Josh heads to Cyprus, where the United Nations peacekeeping force grants him rare access to Nicosia International Airport, frozen since the 1974 conflict with abandoned airliners still parked on the tarmac, and to the UN buffer zone that has kept the terminal untouched for decades. Both explorers narrate as they move through the sites, camera in hand, pointing out decaying signage, collapsed structures, and the traces of the exact moment each place was left behind. The episode cuts between the two locations, contrasting a flood-ruined American theme park with a Cold War-era Mediterranean airport frozen by geopolitics, and treats each as a time capsule of the disaster or conflict that emptied it.
