Adam Thorn, a biologist and self-described adventurer, sets out into the rainforests of Borneo to track down the binturong, an animal so rarely seen that most people have never heard of it. The description alone sounds implausible: a prehensile tail like a monkey's, claws like a cat's, and a face that reads as part bear. Thorn treats the search as a genuine expedition, working through dense jungle terrain where the animal is known to live but seldom photographed. Along the way the film picks up other wildlife encountered in the same forests, using the main hunt as a spine for a broader look at Borneo's animal life rather than a single narrow chase.
