Boxing's public spectacle ends when the cameras stop rolling, and this film follows what happens to the fighters afterward. It looks at the toll the sport takes on the body and mind once the career winds down, from lingering brain trauma to the financial and emotional aftermath of a life built around getting hit for a living. Former boxers speak candidly about what the sport gave them and what it took, and the film uses their accounts rather than commentary from promoters or broadcasters to build its picture. Training footage and fight clips are used sparingly, mostly to anchor the interviews in specific bouts and specific injuries rather than to glorify the sport. The tone stays sober throughout, treating boxing less as entertainment than as an occupation with long-term costs that rarely make it into the highlight reel. It is a small, direct film about the people the sport leaves behind once the last round is over.
