The film traces that rise using interviews with Stratton alongside reenactments, stock footage, and archival material, building a chronology from his early experiments with the drug through the deals that made him a millionaire in the trade. It also follows the collapse: his arrest, trial, and conviction, which lands him a 25-year sentence in a maximum-security prison.
