The story then jumps forward to a WWII Nazi aircraft found carrying classified radar equipment, and back thousands of years to a Bronze Age container researchers date to roughly 4,500 years old, its contents and purpose still debated. A quieter thread follows the recovery of a couple who vanished into a Swiss glacier in 1942 and resurfaced 75 years later, still together. Interviews with the archaeologists and historians doing the recovery work anchor each case, with location footage of the ice fields themselves.
