Chris Dean's story begins with two near-impossible facts: his heart stopped when he was two years old, and he came back. Three years later, his father was killed in a gang shootout, hit by more than twenty bullets. The film follows Dean as he reckons with a childhood shaped by violence and survival, using interviews and personal reflection to trace how those early losses shaped the man he became. Rather than treating the murder as a single dramatic event, the film sits with its aftermath, the questions a child asks about a father he barely knew and the identity built in the wake of that absence. It is a compact, personal portrait, less concerned with the mechanics of the crime than with what it means to carry it forward.
