Argentinian photographer Irina Werning built a project around a simple idea: take an old family snapshot and restage it exactly, same pose, same location where possible, same clothes if they can be found, decades later. The film follows her as she tracks down subjects and their childhood photographs, then choreographs the recreation shot by shot, matching camera angle, lighting, and even the tilt of a head. Interviews with Werning and the people she photographs sit alongside side-by-side comparisons of the original and the remake, and the gap between the two images does most of the storytelling: a toddler's grin becomes a grown man's tired smile in the same backyard. The project started as a personal exercise before it spread into a long-running series with participants across different countries. The film stays close to the process, showing the negotiation, the props, and the small failures when a location has changed or a detail cannot be matched. It is a short, plainly told portrait of a photographer's obsession with time.
