Journalist Rageh Omaar travels to four countries to document children living and working as slaves: in Cambodia, in Ethiopia, in India, and in Saudi Arabia. He meets children forced into labor and, in some cases, sold or trafficked by their own families, and asks the adults involved, employers, brokers, sometimes parents, to explain how they justify it. The film moves between these settings rather than treating any one country as the whole story, showing how the mechanics of child slavery differ by place: domestic servitude in one household, bonded labor tied to a family debt in another, outright trafficking across borders in a third. Omaar's presence is direct rather than distanced; he interviews the children themselves where possible, and the camera stays on their answers rather than cutting away. The film does not offer a single villain or a single fix. It leaves the viewer with the scale of the problem across four very different societies and the specific children whose situations it follows on camera.
