Medellin spent decades known as Pablo Escobar's home base, the city that gave cocaine trafficking its most famous face. This film follows the runways, designers, and models of Colombia Fashion Week as the city tries to rebrand itself around style instead of narcotics. Cameras move through backstage fittings, catwalk shows, and interviews with organizers and designers who talk openly about wanting the world to associate Medellin with clothing rather than cartels. The film treats the fashion week as a case study in image repair, asking how much a glamorous industry can actually change what outsiders think of a place still shadowed by its drug-trade history. Local color fills in around the runway footage: street scenes, talk of the city's transformation since the Escobar years, and the tension between the polished event and the reputation it is trying to outrun. It stays close to its subject, the clothes and the people making them, rather than turning into a general history of the cartel era.
