David Attenborough's Wild City: Hidden Wild

EN · STATUS: [ STREAMING ]

Singapore's skyline hides a second city of wildlife, and this episode follows the animals that have found ways to live inside it. In the forest canopy, flying colugos glide between trees, using flaps of skin as a makeshift parachute to cross gaps that would otherwise strand them. On Pulau Ubin, an island still dotted with old kampong villages, wild boar move freely along rustic trails largely undisturbed by people. The mangrove swamps of Sungai Buloh turn out to hold saltwater crocodiles and family groups of smooth-coated otters working the waterways together, along with monitor lizards patrolling the mud banks and white-bellied sea eagles hunting overhead. A Sunda pangolin, rarely filmed and increasingly hard to find elsewhere in the region, also makes an appearance. David Attenborough narrates, framing Singapore not as a city that replaced its wilderness but one where wild animals adapted around the concrete, tracing how each species has carved out a niche between the mangroves, forest patches, and reservoirs.
