Eighteen years before this film opens, a moment of lost concentration left Pascale paralyzed and, she believed, permanently shut out of the sport she loved. The short follows her return to the water, aided by a family friend who rigs a board with nothing more elaborate than rolls of duct tape to hold her body in place. Interviews and beach footage trace the mechanics of the fix as much as the emotion behind it: how the tape is wound, how balance is tested on sand before the first wave, and how a makeshift solution becomes the difference between watching from shore and standing, or lying, on a board again. Pascale narrates her own history plainly, without dwelling on self-pity, and the camera stays close on the practical work of adaptation rather than framing her as an inspirational symbol. It is a small, specific story about improvisation solving a problem doctors and equipment catalogs hadn't.
