Quantum mechanics unsettled Einstein more than almost anything else in physics, and this film asks why the man who helped invent it spent his later decades trying to prove it incomplete. It walks through the strange behavior of atoms, photons, and electrons that forced physicists to abandon a clean, deterministic universe: particles that behave like waves, outcomes that are only probabilities until measured, and effects that seem to happen instantaneously across distance. Interviews and archival material trace the argument between Einstein and Niels Bohr, especially the EPR thought experiment Einstein devised to expose what he called "spooky action at a distance," and the later experiments that tested it for real. The film treats the dispute as a genuine scientific fight rather than a settled footnote, showing how Einstein's discomfort pushed the field toward sharper questions about reality and measurement. It closes on the unresolved tension still sitting underneath modern physics: the theory works perfectly and nobody fully agrees on what it means.
