Tinkers Bubble, one of the oldest off-grid communities in the United Kingdom, is home to a small group of people who grow their own food, build their own shelters, and live without mains electricity. The film follows Eve, a resident of the settlement, as she moves through the daily work that off-grid life demands: tending crops, maintaining the woodland, and keeping the community's low-impact systems running. Interviews and observational footage show the practical tradeoffs of the lifestyle, from the labor involved in growing food without modern conveniences to the reasons Eve and others chose to leave conventional society behind. The camera stays close to the routines of the place, letting the work itself explain the philosophy rather than relying on narration to argue for it.
