Field Geology I
MIT OpenCourseWare offers this introduction to field geology, focused on the geologic history of western North America and the region surrounding MIT's field camp location. The course teaches both digital and traditional techniques for geological fieldwork, preparing students for weekend field exercises that build practical skills in mapping and observation. It also covers regional geology needed for the follow-on course, Field Geology II.
