Fluoridation entered American public water systems at the end of the Second World War, sold as a simple, unquestionable win for dental health. This film follows journalist Christopher Bryson's investigation, drawn from his book The Fluoride Deception, into how that consensus was built and who built it. Bryson traces fluoride's origins in wartime industry, where it was a hazardous byproduct of aluminum and atomic bomb production, and argues that early research linking it to health problems was buried or simply never funded. He lays out claims connecting fluoride exposure to infant mortality, congenital defects, and IQ loss, and frames water fluoridation less as settled medical science than as a public relations campaign run by government and industry to manage a liability. Government scientists, industry documents, and historical footage of postwar water treatment plants back up the case. The film does not pretend to referee the underlying chemistry; its argument is about the suppression of debate, not the debate itself.
