The scientific case for cosmic and human origins, laid out by Peter Hadfield (known online as Potholer54), a science journalist with a geology degree who spent years translating research in quantum physics, microbiology, and other fields into plain language. The series moves from the Big Bang through the formation of galaxies and stars, into the geological record of an ancient Earth, and on to the fossil evidence for evolution and the human migration out of Africa. Hadfield pitches each explanation at a level he says a seventh-grader could follow, using diagrams and short segments rather than dense narration. The throughline is deliberate: he addresses claims that the universe is roughly 6,000 years old, laying the astronomical and geological evidence for its actual age directly against that belief and asking viewers to weigh the two. There is no reenactment or field footage here, just evidence assembled and explained step by step, aimed squarely at an audience raised on young-earth creationism.
