Herzog keeps his camera still and lets people talk without cutting away from the silences, the same technique he uses in his other documentary work, and the effect is closer to testimony than to a safety film. Commissioned as part of an anti-texting-and-driving campaign, it never raises its voice or resorts to graphic crash footage; the plain, patient interviews do the persuading instead.
