Saba Bank is a remote coral atoll in the Caribbean, and resting on top of it in 40 meters of water is a wreck nobody can name. A Dutch Navy ship first snagged it on sonar in 2006 during a routine mapping run, and no local fisherman or historian has ever come forward with a story about it. Divers Mike and Warren Fletcher travel to Saba to find out what the 96-meter, 314-foot freighter actually is, fighting the bank's rough currents and open-ocean exposure just to get in the water. Getting an answer means a penetration dive into the ship's interior, threading through corroded passageways and collapsed decks 130 feet down to find a serial number, a builder's mark, anything that ties the hull to a shipyard or a flag. The episode follows their investigation step by step, from the initial sonar data to the artifacts and structural clues that finally start narrowing down when and where this ship was built, and why it ended up abandoned on a reef with no record of its sinking.
