Three artisans across three countries, each building one object from raw material to finished form. In Ethiopia the film follows a craftsperson through the sourcing and shaping of their materials before the piece is worn in a community setting. The Senegal episode traces a maker's daily routine, tools, and technique, showing how a single traditional object gets assembled by hand from start to finish. The Kenya segment closes the collection with another artist's process, ending with the object put to use rather than displayed as a curiosity. Each of the three roughly half-hour segments works the same way: a linear build from raw material to finished object becomes the excuse to sit with one person or family, hear their biography and motivations, and watch village life continue around them. The cameras stay close and quiet, fly-on-the-wall style, favoring long unhurried shots of hands at work over narration or talking-head explanation. The result is less a survey of African craft than three unhurried portraits of the people who keep it alive.
