With the 2024 US election approaching, this DW film follows three young political figures navigating a country split down the middle. Wyatt Gable, 22, is running for the North Carolina House as a Trump-supporting Republican. Sabrina Bousbar, 27, a Florida Democrat, is aiming to become the first Gen Z woman in Congress. Both worry openly about what happens to the country if the other side's presidential candidate wins. The film also follows 17-year-old William He, who has started Dream for America as a center-left counterweight to the campus organizing power of Turning Point USA. Interviews and campaign-trail footage track how each of them talks to voters, argues with opponents, and privately fears the divide might be permanent. Rather than settling on an answer, the film uses their overlapping fears and incompatible politics to ask whether a generation raised entirely inside this polarization can be the one that talks its way out of it.
