Military historian Norm Christie walks the battlefields of France and Belgium to trace the career of Sir Arthur Currie, who started as a gunner in a Canadian militia unit in 1897 and ended the First World War commanding the entire Canadian Corps. The film follows Currie's rise through the ranks and the major engagements that built his reputation, including the fighting that made the Canadian Corps one of the most effective formations on the Western Front.
