A small Mediterranean island that turned into Europe's biggest party destination is the subject here, and Vice reporter Clive Martin goes to find out why people keep coming back. He talks to DJs Carl Cox and Luciano, wades through crowds of drunk teenagers and scantily clad club dancers, and sits down with Alfredo Fiorito, the DJ credited with inventing the island's club culture in the first place. The film traces that culture back to the clubs that opened in the mid-1980s and turned Ibiza into a playground for Europe's playboys and party girls, then follows it forward through police raids, government crackdowns, and stricter licensing laws that never managed to slow it down. Martin also gets into the sex and drug trade that runs alongside the music, treating it as part of the same economy rather than a separate scandal. Along the way there's a ten-foot rave robot, VIP tables, and underground parties running until dawn. Martin plays the amused, slightly overwhelmed outsider throughout, letting the island's excess speak for itself.
