Rusdi counts down his last fifty days using packets of snacks as a homemade calendar, and Boon Keng gets written up when officers find origami hidden in his cell during a search. The camera follows single-man cells, exercise yards, and disciplinary hearings, letting officers explain the rules while inmates describe what it actually feels like to serve time under them. Rather than treating prison as a backdrop for shock value, the film stays close to individual routines and small acts of defiance or endurance, building a picture of the regime through the people living inside it. It is the first episode of a multi-part series on Singapore's prison system.
