Inside the QE2: World's Most Luxurious Hotel Ship
The Queen Elizabeth 2, once the flagship of transatlantic ocean travel, has been permanently docked in Dubai and converted into a floating luxury hotel. This three-episode series follows the staff running it day to day, splitting time between glossy events and the scramble behind the scenes to pull them off. In the opener, former Queen Mary 2 passengers check in for a Burns Night dinner, and the kitchen has to source haggis ingredients in the UAE. A Valentine's Day brunch for 450 guests and an open-air opera gala get threatened by a late delivery and a storm on the horizon. The third episode covers the renovation of the historic Queen's Grill, with Chef Dino running an eighth unsuccessful tasting for owners still unsatisfied with the new menu, custom furniture arriving mid-photoshoot, and a reunion of the Hypher family, longtime QE2 passengers with decades of memories of the ship. The series stays close to the crew solving problems in real time rather than just showing off the rooms.
