Sound artist Justin Boyd talks about how sound shapes his relationship to time and memory, and how he turns that relationship into finished artworks. The film follows him describing his process, from field recording to the installations and sculptural pieces he builds around sound, letting his own voice carry the explanation rather than a narrator. He talks through why sound, more than image, is the material he keeps returning to, and what it lets him do that other media cannot. The camera stays close on his work and his hands as he demonstrates pieces, giving a sense of scale and texture even when the subject is something as intangible as a recorded tone or an ambient hum. It plays as a short artist profile: one voice, one practice, explained in his own terms rather than filtered through critics or historians.
