Korn: Mayhem Festival
Korn headlines the 2014 Mayhem Festival, and this concert film follows the tour as one of the package's biggest editions, cutting between the band's sets and several of the other acts sharing the bill. Backstage and crowd footage sit alongside the performances, including a marriage proposal that happens on stage during one of the shows. Director Sébastien Paquet shot the film with Strati Hovartos, with additional footage from Justin Bauer and Austin Mann, and the score comes from Zac Baird with added music from Korn frontman Jonathan Davis. There is little narration or context beyond the tour itself: the film stays close to the stage and the fans in front of it, treating the festival as a single continuous event rather than a history of the band or the tour's business side. It plays as a document of one summer run, built almost entirely from footage of the shows themselves.
