Frank Lee left Hong Kong for Canada in 1960 carrying decades of training in Grandmaster White Crane Kung Fu, a style he learned on streets where fighting was routine. The film follows his son, filmmaker Corey Lee, as he turns the camera on his own father, tracing how Frank built a martial arts career and a family in a new country while carrying the discipline and the violence of his youth into how he raised his children. Interviews with Frank, his students, and family members trace the White Crane lineage back to its Chinese roots and show how a fighting art became a way of passing down identity across generations. The film does not separate the kung fu legacy from the strain it put on the Lee household, and Corey's own reckoning with his father runs alongside the martial arts history. It closes less on victory than on an uneasy, honest reconciliation between father and son.
