An urban exploration tour through abandoned Europe, moving from Raconnigi Asylum in Italy to the Beykoz Kundura leather factory in Istanbul, a disused cooling tower in Belgium, the Sachsenhausen concentration camp memorial, Witzenburg Castle in Germany, the House of Scientists in Kiev, and a crumbling hotel complex in Poland. A second stretch of the journey heads into southeastern Turkey, visiting Savaşan village on the banks of the Euphrates before it was submerged by a dam project, a doctor's combined home and office still scattered with patient records, the stone ruins of Kayaköy left empty after a wartime population exchange, the decaying rides of Spreepark amusement park, a former Soviet military base, and rusting rolling stock at Skierniewice station in Poland. Handheld camera work carries viewers through peeling corridors and overgrown courtyards while narration supplies the human history behind each site, from asylum patients to displaced villagers, treating the buildings less as spooky curiosities than as evidence of the lives once lived in them.
