Urban explorers Josh and Cody split up for two separate expeditions into abandoned territory, one in Germany, one in Morocco. In Wünsdorf, a Soviet military complex near Berlin that was sealed off from the public for decades and nicknamed the forbidden city, Josh walks through empty barracks, a derelict swimming hall, and Cold War command buildings left to rot since the Red Army pulled out. In Morocco, Cody heads into the Sahara to the ruins of a film set built for Game of Thrones, now half swallowed by sand and wind. Both explorers narrate as they move through the locations, pointing out construction details, peeling propaganda murals, and set pieces that hint at what each place was built for. The film keeps its focus on the physical texture of decay, rusted machinery, cracked tile, sand drifting through doorframes, rather than dramatizing the visits, letting the buildings themselves carry the story of a Soviet garrison town and a Hollywood backdrop both left behind.
