In India, a marriage chosen against family or caste lines can still get a young couple killed. This film follows the Love Commandos, a volunteer network that hides runaway couples in safe houses, arranges emergency weddings, and fields desperate phone calls from young people who believe their own relatives might kill them. Cameras sit in with couples in hiding, families who feel shamed enough to threaten violence, and the volunteers who move between the two sides trying to keep everyone alive. Honour killings are illegal under Indian law, but the film shows how little that matters in villages where community and caste pressure outweigh the courts, and how police and local officials often look away. Interviews lay out the practical mechanics of the group's work, from forged travel arrangements to makeshift shelters, alongside the fear that drives couples to call them in the first place. It is a plain, on-the-ground account of an underground rescue operation built entirely around one refusal to accept a death sentence for falling in love.
