Alexandra Oxacelay runs the soup kitchen and shelter network Stëmm vun der Strooss, where she describes rising demand from both homeless residents and the "working poor." Stephan, from Hungary, has lived in a tent for seven years, including through winter. Serge Kappel, dealing with chronic back pain, can't find an apartment he can afford as rents climb. Researcher Antoine Paccoud connects the housing crunch to real estate speculation and underfunded social housing. The film also lets the politics of the issue surface directly: Yannick Wirtz, unemployed, blames immigration and wants tighter restrictions, while Oxacelay insists her NGO won't turn anyone away.
