Machine Learning: Living in the Age of AI

EN · STATUS: [ STREAMING ]

Artificial intelligence has already moved from science fiction into daily routine, and this film tracks exactly where. It follows how algorithms shape internet searches, recommend what to watch next, screen job applications, and brake a car before a driver reacts. Computer scientists, ethicists, and industry engineers explain what machine learning actually does under the hood, feeding systems enormous amounts of data so they can find patterns no programmer explicitly wrote in. The film moves through home assistants, medical diagnostics, and self-driving vehicle sensors, showing the same underlying technology adapting to wildly different jobs. It also sits with the harder questions: who is accountable when an algorithm makes a bad call, how bias creeps into training data, and what happens to jobs built around tasks a machine can now do faster. Rather than choosing a side in the utopia-versus-threat debate, it lays out the mechanics plainly enough that viewers can weigh the tradeoffs themselves, using the devices already in their pockets as the running example.
