Mumbai is one of the most densely populated cities on the planet, and this film follows that density to its two extremes: sprawling slum settlements packed with families living in a few square meters, and glass towers rising nearby for the newly wealthy. Cameras move through crowded streets and informal housing blocks, then cut to construction sites where skyscrapers climb over what used to be open land, tracking how a city built for a fraction of its current population keeps absorbing millions more arrivals every year. Interviews and observational footage lay out the daily mechanics of life at both ends of that gap, from water and transport to housing costs, without pretending either extreme cancels out the other. The film treats Mumbai as a case study in what happens when a city grows faster than its infrastructure, and lets the visual contrast between shanty roofs and glass facades make the argument that words alone would struggle to.
