Youth services across England and Wales lose 70% of their government funding, and this short film follows what happens to the young people and youth workers left without the clubs, centers, and programs that funding supported. Rather than framing the cuts as simply the end of organized activity, the film shows workers and teenagers improvising ways to keep some form of structure and community going with almost nothing to work with. Interviews and on-the-ground footage capture youth clubs stripped down, workers stretched across fewer resources, and neighborhoods where informal spaces substitute for what used to be funded provision. The film stays close to specific people rather than statistics, letting the scale of the cut register through what disappears in practice: staff, hours, spaces, and continuity. At fourteen minutes, it is less an argument than a document of adaptation under austerity, asking what youth services are for once the money that built them is gone.
