November 22, 1963: The Kennedy Assassination

2013 · EN · STATUS: [ STREAMING ]

Josiah "Tink" Thompson, author of the 1967 book Six Seconds in Dallas, sits down decades later with the piece of film that never let him go: Frame 313 of the Zapruder footage, the frame that shows the fatal head shot. He walks through his own history with the assassination, from his early published analysis to the theories he chased and abandoned, describing what it feels like to spend fifty years staring at eighteen frames of Super 8 film for an answer that never quite arrives. Interview footage of Thompson is intercut with the Zapruder frames themselves and period photographs from Dealey Plaza, letting the film move between his present-day recollection and the visual evidence that built his career. Rather than pushing a single conclusion, the film sits with Thompson's own uncertainty, using one man's lifelong obsession to show how much of the Kennedy assassination still resists a final verdict.
