Bruce Lee made the one-inch punch famous by demonstrating it on stages and in interviews, driving a fist through a person's chest from a starting distance of barely an inch, and this short film asks how that kind of power actually gets generated. Instructors of Jeet Kune Do and Wing Chun sit for interviews explaining the body mechanics behind the strike: hip rotation, the release of tension at the exact moment of contact, and the whip-like transfer of force from stance to fist that lets a punch with almost no wind-up still knock a person backward. The film stays close to its single technique rather than surveying martial arts broadly, treating the one-inch punch as a case study in efficient movement rather than a party trick. Victor Tran shot and edited the piece. It runs short and functions more as a focused technical explainer than a full biography of Lee or a history of either style.
