OnOff: Generation Z
People born after 1995, sometimes labeled Screeners or Gen Tech, are the subject of this first episode in the OnOff series, a Polish project examining current and coming social trends with Orange as its strategic partner. The filmmaker sets out to test the stereotypes attached to this generation against what young people actually say on camera, asking whether they really prefer contact through screens over face-to-face conversation, how they fill their free time, and what worries them. Subjects speak directly to the camera about their habits and fears, with the film using their answers to push back against the easy assumption that Generation Z has simply traded human contact for devices. Running as a single, short episode with English subtitles, it favors direct testimony over narration or expert commentary, letting the generation describe itself rather than having it described. The film's stated aim is narrow and specific: close the gap between how Generation Z is talked about and how its members actually live.
