Open Gromov-Witten Invariants for Even-Dimensional Lagrangians
Elad Kosloff, of Hebrew University of Jerusalem, presents a seminar talk given through the IAS/Princeton/Montreal/Paris/Tel-Aviv Symplectic Geometry Zoominar on genus zero open Gromov-Witten invariants for even-dimensional Lagrangians. He builds the definition from a canonical family of bounding cochains satisfying the point-like condition developed by Solomon and Tukachinsky, using non-commutative coefficients. Kosloff shows that in dimension two this framework recovers Welschinger's classical invariants, then turns to concrete computations for even-dimensional quadric hypersurfaces, using them to demonstrate that the invariants can take non-vanishing values. The talk assumes familiarity with symplectic geometry and moduli of holomorphic disks, and runs as a focused research seminar rather than an introductory survey, aimed at specialists tracking recent developments in open Gromov-Witten theory.
