Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix, the Berlin techno duo known as Pan-Pot, spend twelve months touring Europe's clubs and festivals while director Sebastian Radlmeier's cameras follow them backstage and on stage. The film was made as the DVD companion to mobilee records' sixth "back to back" compilation, built around tracks like "Captain My Captain" and "Confronted," and it functions as a career portrait rather than a straight concert film. Ippenberger and Benedix revisit venues and cities tied to specific moments in their rise, talking through what happened there rather than performing nostalgia for the camera. Interviews with other DJs, producers, and people described as techno-activists fill in how the duo fits into the wider club scene they came up through. There is no narrator directing the story; it is assembled from tour footage, dressing-room and van conversations, and club-floor shots of crowds reacting to their sets. The result is closer to a road diary of one touring cycle than a full biography, tracking the grind of festival dates and club nights that built their reputation.
