Paul and the Word
Paul Selig is a New York based writer who says he channels messages from a collective of nonphysical entities he calls the Word, which he describes as God in action. The film follows Selig discussing how he came to this practice, presenting himself as, in his words, an ordinary guy who developed the ability to hear and transcribe this guidance rather than someone seeking mystical status. He talks through the content of the messages: claims about a coming evolution of human consciousness and the planet, and what he understands to be humanity's role in that shift. The film stays close to Selig's own account and his books built from these channeled sessions, with little outside interrogation of the claims. There is no debunking voice here and no scientific framing, just Selig's testimony about what he hears and what he believes it means. Viewers get a firsthand look at how one channeler describes and justifies the practice, on its own terms.
