The global fragrance business is shifting away from its traditional centers in London, Paris, and New York toward newer, faster-growing markets, and Brazil sits at the top of that list, a country where fragranced products of every kind sell as fast as companies can make them. The film follows the perfumers chasing these changes, including an American scent expert who interviews Latin American teenagers about their bathroom cabinets, trying to isolate what the next generation will want to smell like. In England, a long-established perfume house works to revive Oriental-style fragrances that once pleased Queen Victoria, adapting them for a British public whose tastes have moved on from that era. In the Gulf States, heavier, more intense scents remain popular, and the film tracks efforts to break those fragrances into the market in Bahrain. Across all three threads, the film treats scent preference as a marker of cultural change, watching an industry built on tradition try to read shifting consumer habits city by city.
