In Hapur, a village outside Delhi, menstruation is still something girls whisper about and boys mock, a taboo strong enough that many women drop out of school or hide the truth from their own fathers. The film follows a group of local women as they learn to operate a simple pad-making machine installed in their village, turning a source of shame into a small business and a paycheck. Interviews with the women, their families, and the American teenagers who helped fund the machine through a school club show how the economics of the project matter as much as the awareness campaign: once pads are made and sold locally, the silence starts to break on its own. Cameras follow the machine's daily operation, the packaging of the product under the brand name "Fly," and the shift in how girls talk about their own bodies once a paycheck is attached to it. The film ends with the women naming what dignity looks like for them now.
