Manuel de los Santos grew up in the Dominican Republic playing baseball and was on track to turn professional by 2003. A motorcycle accident that year cost him his left leg above the knee and ended that path. The film follows how he rebuilt his athletic career around golf, learning to swing and compete on one leg and a prosthesis, and traces his rise into professional golf circles as a novelty turned genuine competitor. Interviews and footage show him on the course, working through the mechanics of balance and swing that able-bodied players take for granted, and touch on the reception he gets from other golfers and the public. The portrait stays close to his personal story rather than turning into a general disability-sports survey, following one man's adjustment from a team sport played on two legs to an individual one played on one. It ends with him established as a working professional, accident behind him but visibly part of how he plays.
